Festival Fun

On Sunday 16th June, we took a stand at the Waterside Festival at Great Linford. Our first hurdle was to erect the gazebo, luckily we had help on hand, Sally, a volunteer had co-opted her husband and son, both of whom had camping experience to assist Mark Lawrence, our publicity volunteer. This was all done under the watchful eye of myself, who knows nothing about camping or gazebos but was happy to give plenty of unwanted advice on the matter!

The day was a great success with lots of help from our volunteers and service users, handing out leaflets and explaining our organisation to the carnival goers. Many thanks to everyone that helped.

Special thanks must go to the policeman who found Rachel and Padma, two of our service user volunteers, whom I managed to lose whilst searching for my car (which I had also lost!)

Following the positive feedback, I feel we can attend similar events in the future.
